  • Product Marketing Manager

    We’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager with a B2C background for a music tech platform focused on changing the ecosystem of music creation.

    About the role:

    The ideal candidate has a successful track record of creating and delivering on a variety of marketing activities in the consumer technology space that have scaled the user community. We’re looking for someone who’s data-driven, creative, and continuously testing while looking for new and innovative ways to make the customer happy, engaged, and inspired.

    Reporting to the Head of Growth as part of the department’s leadership team, you’ll provide strategic guidance to the organization on product and digital marketing efforts, prioritization, and timelines, etc. You’ll also be hands-on and will need to be as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get the job done as you are delivering with team support.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and optimize messaging that will communicate our vision, value proposition and differentiate our product effectively. Ensure every customer touchpoint reinforces the brand proposition and drives more prospects from freemium to paid users
    • Plan and execute cross-functional go-to-market activities for product launch and enhancements
    • Develop the brand’s unique position for the launch of each new feature, creating the marketing and communications framework for the entire marketing function as the product goes live in the market
    • Understand the needs of our freemium users and customers to adapt our product’s features to their needs based on user’s data
    • Collaborate with Marketing to develop content that aligns with GTM strategy and can be used in campaigns, enablement, and other customer interactions with a focus on product adoption
    • Use a highly data-driven approach for the market analysis of both customers and competition to improve the marketing strategy
    • Design, direct, and execute strategy on product marketing initiatives; specifically positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, persona, and journey optimization
    • Develop and launch user onboarding step by step, tutorials, and marketing offers to increase customer retention
    • Be the “voice” specialist and evangelize product functionality, strategy, and roadmap
    • Monitor competitors in order to continually refine our messaging and positioning, influence product direction, and enable conversions
    • Develop clear messaging and positioning that conveys what makes us better and different from competitors
    • Collaborate with Product owners and key stakeholders to learn their needs, establish clear release timelines, and feedback loops for incorporating new priorities
    • Partner with product and engineering leads to execute on marketing and company objectives
    • Be part of a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative environment that combines a strong analytical orientation with out-of-the-box thinking
    • Foster and sponsor innovation, identifying new opportunities that will revolutionize the future of the music industry

    About You:

    • 5+ years of experience as a digital marketer in the SaaS space
    • Must be passionate about music, entertainment, and social media – experience working within one of these facets is a plus
    • Inspiring teammate and communicator, capable of articulating and presenting a clear and compelling vision/objectives and correlated actionable activities

    About the Job:

    We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a music tech platform focused on changing the ecosystem of music creation and production by making it faster, more affordable, and more accessible for content creators, DJs, singer-songwriters, enterprises, and people of any skill level to create completely original music at the click of a button.

    This is a senior-level position reporting to the Head of Engineering who will lead development initiatives, help onboard and manage junior team members, and work closely with sound producers, product, and data science to consistently improve the customer experience and software functionality, attract new users, and innovate in the AI music creation space.

    Must-have expertise: Python, Java, Javascript, MongoDB, AWS, HTML, CSS and have extremely sharp coding abilities.

    This role requires is a specific skillset founded in machine learning, product scale, and agility in product development with a heavy focus on consumer subscription models, acquisition, and scale. A music background is a huge plus.

    Responsibilities

    • Collect, analyze, and present processed and unprocessed data pertaining to music creation tech to make the business more powerful and increase enterprise opportunities. To be honest, the right person can probably better tell us how this role should work. And we’ll happily empower you to do that
    • Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms in pertinence to business objectives
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production, make product adjustments, and geek out on product opportunities
    • Based on the insights you gather, make clear recommendations to improve and work with other department leads to execute
    • Help design data team hiring roadmaps
    • Produce regular analytics reports for internal and external stakeholder (board, investor, etc.) purposes.

    Requirements and some nice-to-haves:

    • 6+ years professional Data Science experience – startup background is a huge benefit with a strong capacity to work across teams in product, marketing, sales, and engineering
    • Consumer product and subscription modeling expertise
    • Academic background in statistics, comp sci, math, engineering
    • Portfolio or sharable work samples (dashboards you built, measurable/quantifiable results you helped produce, methodology, etc.)
    • Deep ML/AI experience (including machine learning modeling and ensemble methodology)
    • Python expertise (NumPy, SciPy), SQL, MongoDB, C++
    • Understanding of digital signal processing techniques (filtering, spectral/FFT analysis, convolution, etc.)
    • Experience with machine learning, especially as it applies to music analysis and/or generation
    • Experience with Django, Heroku, AWS, S3
    • Familiarity with python audio processing libraries such as Librosa
    • Passion for or experience in music – ML, production, and creation
